Project School is a consulting company based in Brussels and Milan that aims to strengthen the creative and design skills of individuals and organizations who want to develop solutions to small and big challenges of their communities. We are specialized in creation of consortia of partners with common aim for projects and initiatives with significant potential for social innovation. Unique and profound knowledge of the European public funding environment (e.g. Horizon 2020, COSME, Erasmus+, AMIF, REC, EaSI, Europe for Citizens, Creative Europe, etc.) as well as broad network of market key-players contribute to the high quality of entrusted projects. We follow projects from their initiation and planning, through design, negotiation, writing and execution to the final stage, where in principle we develop training and capacity building programmes on a wide range of topics, together with the design of local, national and European engagement strategies.
Job Overview
The EU Junior Project Manager will be responsible for the daily implementation and management of the Project School ongoing Erasmus+ projects, work packages and tasks, including the support in the development and delivery of all actions of Project School’s responsibility. The professional will also actively contribute to the preparation of other project proposals. Our portfolio of activities allows us to match the job position to the respective experience and background of the selected candidate.
Main activities and responsibilities
In project administration and management:
- Overall support in the execution of Project School tasks and activities within 4 Erasmus+ projects in close cooperation with the Project School coordinator
- Daily communication with international project partners
- Project progress monitoring
- Preparation and processing of technical (official deliverables of the project) and financial (costs declarations) reports
- Organisation of teleconferences / project meetings / workshops / conferences
- Travel to project meetings on a 4-months basis, if and when needed
- Update of excel templates facilitating the overall management of the Project School’s projects
In project proposals preparation:
- Active monitoring of suitable European funding schemes on topics like: youth activation, migration, creativity, social inclusion
- Identification of funding and partnership opportunities at EU level for applying to EU funds
- Proposals structuring, writing and commenting
- Collection of information from partners, processing of written inputs and background documents
- Business analytical activities
- Responsibility for the complete preparation and writing of respective parts of the proposals
Experience and Skills
Necessary
- Written and spoken English proficiency
- Exceptional organisational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to cope with tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with dynamic and diverse staff
- High level of autonomy and ability to work independently
- 1+ year of experience with EU projects administration and management (Erasmus+ is an advantage)
- Willingness to travel
Desirable
- Written and spoken proficiency in other EU languages (preferably Italian)
- Knowledge of European funding landscape, including programmes, specific calls and criteria and requirements for EU proposals
- International experience or international exposure to best practices in project management
- Experience/knowledge in EU and international grant writing, management and application
- Experience/ knowledge in non-academic collaborations and knowledge transfer activities
- Network of organisations interested to cooperate on EU projects and training/capacity building programmes design and development
